I have extensive experience in supporting individuals and families through illness, death and dying, grief and loss and all the feelings, anxiety, depression, and PTSD that may come with it. Most of my career I have worked within the health care field providing support to patient and their families and friends coping with illness, trauma, anticipatory grief and/or bereavement. I have supported adoptions, and foster care, infant and pregnancy loss, and sudden death from accidents and injury. Through use of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other Brief Therapies I help support individuals coping with anxiety, depression, loss, PTSD, medical illnesses, disease management and postpartum depression. Due to my experiences and understanding of the police/fire/ems systems I am able to provide support to the unique needs of our first responders. As a board-certified supervisor, I am also able to provide supervision hours for LMSW’s working on licensure.
