“I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland, Registered Yoga Instructor, Certified Reiki Practitioner and sound healer. I obtained my B.S in both Psychology and Criminal Justice from Morgan State University, and my MA in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have experience working with individuals from a plethora of different backgrounds and issues and I have worked in correctional settings, several agencies within the community and private practice. I have a passion for building relationships with people and helping them overcome obstacles and life stressors. I view clients through a holistic ( mind, body, and spirit) lens and assist them in re-writing their narrative.
I utilize an eclectic and holistic approach, pulling from evidenced based practices coupled with integrating mind, body, and spiritual awareness to tailor to the needs of each of my clients. In therapy, “one size does not fit all”. Fostering a therapeutic relationship is at the core of my practice as I like to collaborate with you to explore the barriers preventing you from being able to thrive and walk in your most authentic and best self. There are times in life when everyone can benefit from support to assist with navigating through life’s stressors. Feeling “stuck” is an awful feeling, especially when you feel like you’re dealing with the stressors alone. It can quickly turn to feeling hopeless and helpless and inadvertently spiral in to a host of negative emotions. If you’re looking to make some important changes in your life and get the support you need, therapy is a great way to start and I can help.”.
