Hello and welcome. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C), with more than 25 years of experience supporting wellness and growth with Pre-Adolescents, Adolescents, Young Adults, as well as Families, Parents, and Individual Adults, and Couples. My approach is compassionate, and supportive, while also gently practical, straightforward, and growth promoting.
It is my passion to inspire hope and change through supporting clients who are “stuck” in counterproductive behaviors or habits to choose more self-compassionate and healthy pathways. Also, to uncover, understand, and overcome challenges including loneliness, guilt, shame, fear, grief, and self-doubt. Sometimes these trials result in mood instability, procrastination, depression, anxiety, coming-of-age struggles, anger, impulsivity, eating concerns, interpersonal difficulties, or use/misuse of substances. The safety of a supportive therapeutic relationship can allow for courageous “self-study”. With understanding self comes clarity, and relief, which in turn creates the opportunity to cultivate new healthy ways to think, feel, and react.
In addition to Mindfulness Based Cognitive talk therapy, (CBT), I utilize mindfulness exercises, as well as Neuro Linguistic Programming, (NLP) tools to assist supportive communication and relationship between mind, body, spirit, and emotions.
