I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and I obtained my Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from Salisbury University and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and families and I have experience in Out-Patient Mental Health, as well as public and non-public school settings.
My passion lies in working with individuals who have been diagnosed with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Autism, and Trauma related disorders. I have used various methods to tailor an approach for each client including, anger management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Talk Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, as well as Crisis Intervention. I use a strength-based approach with children and adolescents to help them learn how to regulate overwhelming feelings, learn coping strategies for various settings, increase their self-esteem, communicate their needs, and strengthen the skills they need to reach their full potential. I understand the important role that the family unit has on each child and their success, therefore I also enjoy working with families to help them improve communication skills, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships.
