Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) that seeks to come alongside those who want to grow and change. Being in counseling is hard work and it takes courage; it is much easier to stay on the familiar path of destruction or the comfortable path of survival, but moving onto a daring path of growth is worth the risk. It is possible to go from surviving to thriving and I love to work with kids and adults of all ages, helping them make this a reality.

One of the needs we all have is connection with others. Whether in individual or group therapy, I believe that being seen, heard, and valued by others is one of the ways we heal. With training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and experience dealing with many types of trauma, I seek to use relationships as one of the keys to healing. Many times we were hurt in relationships and so we must also heal in the relationship. I like to provide a safe environment for this healing to take place. In addition to dealing with trauma, I work with those struggling with anxiety, depression, borderline, bipolar, obsessive-compulsive, and attachment-related disorders.

I love to be creative and play and use attachment-based therapy, narrative therapy, play, art, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I started my counseling career as a lay counselor in a church setting, and my faith is important to me. Studies have shown that spirituality is a significant aid in the healing process and those who would like to use this to their benefit are welcome to do so.
